20 years of making the case.

FOUNDER, OXFORD COMMA STRATEGY

Katie Cobb, a Fractional Marketing Director and Communications Strategist based in Seattle

Hi — I'm Katie Cobb.

I've spent 20 years moving ideas through markets that are skeptical, crowded, and highly regulated — inside growth-stage technology companies, philanthropies, and academic institutions. I led marketing for a digital care navigation startup selling to employers and health insurers, through leadership transitions and a full go-to-market reset. I ran a $6M global campaign for the Gates Foundation, moving regulators and fintech leaders on financial inclusion. I rebranded a 60-year-old public policy school. I built marketing campaigns for financial services, reaching immigrant families across the globe.

That range produced a conviction I don't hedge on: health is determined by the systems around us more than the care we receive — the air people breathe, the safety of their neighborhoods, whether they can find and afford basic services where they live and work. The organizations I work with understand that. My job is to help them make the institutions that bear the cost of poor health understand it too.

I hold a Master of Public Administration from the University of Washington's Evans School — which is why I can make your case in the language of the people who decide it: the policy staff, the benefits committee, the program administrator holding the budget.

Getting funded in this market doesn't take a louder pitch. It takes a more fluent one.

What I believe

01

Systems, not individuals, determine health.

The evidence has been in for decades; the investment is finally catching up.

02

Evidence is rarely the problem. The argument is.

Institutions move when the case is made in their economics, in their language, at their pace.

03

AI raised the floor. Judgment is the difference.

Anyone can produce content now; deciding what's true, what's good, and what ships is the work.

I’d love to hear what you’re working on.
